Self tailoring training camp for Bru –refugee women inaugurated

A 48 days self tailoring training camp for women of Bru -Refugees inaugurated at training centre of Tripura Welfare Society at Nutan Nagar today with initiative of Valuer Febtex Pvt Ltd and financial assistance of NSDCL under PMKVY of Ministry of Skill Development.
Altogether 30 unemployed women from Bru Refugee camp joined in the tailoring training programme. Officer of Tripura Skill Development Corporation Jatish Debbarma inaugurated the programme by lighting lamp. Among others Project Coordinator of State Skill Development Corporation Santanu Banik and Project Manager of Valuer Febtex Ltd and Basudeb Doley were present in the programme.
President of Tripura Welfare Research Society Prasanta Choudhury presided over the programme.
During speech Joint Director of Tripura Skill Development Corporation Jatish Debbarma stressed on skill development of unemployed youths. He said, the project has been developed to make the unemployed youths of Bru Refugee Camp self sufficient and to provide them placement under PMKVY phase –II.
Speaking on the occasion Project Manager of Valuer Febtex Pvt Ltd Basudeb Doley explained different facilities of PMKVY Project. The organization is providing training to 300 unemployed persons of Special Bru Tribe refugees all over the state.
Altogether 30 unemployed women of Bru – refugee camp will get 8 hours training per day on self tailoring including theory and practical classes with soft skill. Project Coordinator of TWRS Manabendra Nag executed the entire programme.
