BJP in Tripura gears up for crucial 2018 poll, 3 CMs in BJP ruled state, union minister, leaders in Tripura to intensify campaign

Indicating this the BJP state vice-President Subal Bhowmik on Tuesday informed that as part of the party’s drive for campaigning for the 2018 poll, Rupa Ganguly, formerly a popular TV and film star, will address an open rally on April 19 at Melaghar under Sonamura subdivision.

Ganguly will arrive here in the state on April 19, adding to this Bhowmik today while holding a press conference informed that Ganguly will also be the star speaker in a meeting of party workers at Belonia tomorrow.

However, in a series of programme being arranged for Ganguly she will address a rally at Kathalia under Sonamura subdivision which is also a part of the assembly constituency of chief minister Manik Sarkar on Thursday.

‘Rupa Ganguly’s meetings on two days will be followed by the visit of BJP general secretary Ram Madhav who will attend the BJP’s state executive meeting at Dharmanagar on 22nd and 23rd April and sit in chalking out a strategy and an action plan for the party in the context of the coming assembly polls, said Subal Bhowmik.

Besides, the state BJP media in-charge Victor Shome in a separate interaction with the said that this is their tactical decision to unseat the CPI-M from power which has been ruling the state for over two decades.

He further informed that during the party’s national executive meeting in Bhubaneswar, the party has decided to send three chief ministers — Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan of Madhya Pradesh and Raghuvar Das of Jharkhand to guide the state unit. Within the next two months all of them would visit the state.

Besides, several other union ministers would come here to help the party and boost the workers and party President Amit Shah would visit the state on May 6, Shom said.
