Super Division Cricket Tournament: Sanghati lifts two back to back titles

Sanghati club is showing some kind of form over the last couple of months in the domestic home season and as a result of this today they won two back to back titles in the most prestigious club cricket league tournament. After clinching Knockout cricket tournament last month, Sanghati club continued their terrific form and won the ongoing Super division cricket tournament organized by Tripura Cricket association with 1 match to sphere.
After picking some key players for this new home season including world cup playing Kenyan player Tanmoy Mishra, the strength of this team reached to an unbelievable destination. In all the matches in the Knock out tournament Sanghati showed one sided dominance and won the match with some huge margins. In this tournament also from the beginning this team never let the expectation down and till today produced some rollicking performances which resulted title winner.
In all the matches in this tournament they did not allow the opposition to stay in the match as they won all the matches with ease. Not only the outside players, the local lads also stand up and deliver on time in every match and played crucial part to every win of this team. In today’s match Sanghati thrashed Polestar by a significant margin of win by 7 wickets. With this win they won the title comprehensively and will play their last match on April 22 against Cosmopolitan at MBB Stadium.
In the morning at TIT cricket ground today Sanghati won the toss and asked Polestar to bat first. Due to overnight rain the match has been reduced to 23 over per side. From their stipulated 23 overs Polestar made 185 for the loss of 9 wickets. Among the batsmen Shoaib Khan scored 52 from 37 balls with 7 fours, Sourav Das scored 40 from 20 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes, Mohit Handa scored 32 from 19 balls with 5 fours and 1 six while Subhrajit Roy made 29 from 32 balls with 1 four.
Among the Sanghati bowlers Vijay Bhardwaj picked up 4 wickets while Chiranjit Paul picked up 2 wickets. In reply two blistering knocks by professional Tanmoy Mishra and Bravbish Shetty was enough for the consistent Sanghati as they achieved the target in just 17.5 overs losing just 3 wickets. Tanmoy made 92 from just 50 balls with 6 fours and 7 sixes, Bravish remained unbeaten on 62 from just 40 balls while Joydeep Banik also made 20 crucial runs. Sanghati won by 7 wickets.
